Heritage Brass Quintet
The Heritage Brass Quintet was formed in 2000 featuring
musicians from Central Pennsylvania. Jim Ressler, the group's leader,
was determined to build a brass band that would be capable of performing
a vast array of musical styles. His vision for this group was unique, and required
Jim to compose and arrange the music to fit the sound. The Heritage
Brass Quintet repertoire ranges from classical chamber music to swing, ragtime
and Broadway show tunes. The Heritage Brass Quintet has played venues
across Pennsylvania, including formal concerts, music festivals, dances,
and weddings, and can tailor their sound to fit the client's request.
The current band is comprised of two trumpets, French horn, trombone and tuba.
The band also has vocalists and a drummer/percussionist, for those
venues where a dance band is required.
